I just bought a 07' Tacoma TRD Sport. The 17" chrome wheels are showing signs of damage and in places the chrome is cracking/flaking off.

What if anything should i do to stop and repair my wheels????

    Thanks!

they are alloy and the bubbling/peeling has been noted before. they would replace them under warranty, but since it's an 07 you'd have to have the 5yr/100k to try that one.

sand and paint or have them powdercoated if you want to stay stock.

ok Thanks for the info. Yeah the truck is not covered under warranty.

Bubbling is a perfect description for what the finish on the wheels are doing.

The dealership chipped mine and scratched it up bad. The called a local guy to repair them and i couldnt even tell they were ever damaged. Check with a local dealership as they might know where to do this.
