any of you have headlights that have multiple cracks on the inside of your headlights?? I have a 2010 dc, has never been wrecked or had any issues, stays parked in shade, etc. Both headlights have several cracks on the inside front of the lens, these cracks run 2-3 inches across the front of the light assembly. Dealer wants $500+ to replace, I have an add in the classified looking to buy a pair as well.

I got in a minor collosion and had both headlights replaced due to broken tabs. That was in 2011 and about a year later I noticed multiple cracks running ocross the passenger headlight. I didn't hit anything they just appeared. Tried to get the bodyshop that did the work to honor their warranty but no luck. Found a pair of 09 headlights on craigslist that were in near new condition for $80. I wondered too if anyone else has had this problem. Guess so!

I have a 2011 Tacoma and both of my headlights developed a crack. There was no visible damage from external sources. The first one happened at about 18 months and second atabout 30 months. Luckily both were covered by the warranty.

I have a 2010 double cab I purchased in February of 2013 and I realized it had slight cracks in the headlight lenses. I planned to replace them eventually so it didn't bother me until about the past month or so when I noticed the cracks had ran and were about 4-6 inches long on both headlights with a bunch of smaller cracks all through them.

I had a buddy who works for Toyota say he sees it quite often on 2nd gen Tacomas and says it's because the headlights get too hot and crack the lenses. Idk if that's entirely true because I know a guy with an '06 tacoma that had his dtrl bulbs overheat and melt the housing, yet his lenses were just fine with no cracks.

I just happened to luck out on snagging a barely used set of OEM headlights from and '06 on Craigslist for $80. They looked brand new and I couldn't be happier.

My two cents is to just wait till a pair come up cheap on the classifieds and jump on them, or upgrade to some retrofits.
