newbie to this forum, seeking some help or suggestions from fellow taco owners.. I have a 2010 v6 taco 4dr sport ed. and have this very annoying cracking or squeaking type sound that drives me nuts when I drive down the road, have tried to locate it but have no clue. Thought it might be the rearview mirror base and tightened it but doesnt fix the sound. Also seems to do it sometimes not all the time. Wondering if this is a common issue or if anyone else has the same problem....please help! thanx

Probably the windshield. Mine cracks and pops all the time when the temperature changes.

My truck just started doing this about a month ago. No idea where it's coming from. I'll start pushing on the dashboard above the steering wheel to try to get the noise to replicate, resulting in nothing.

It doesn't matter what speed I'm going either. It's happened from 20 mph to 65 mph.

It was cold when it happened, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
The dash is plastic touching plastic which squeaks eventually. The fix is normally adhesive backed felt.

If your truck is under warranty, go to the dealer and they'll diagnose and hopefully fix it. There are a couple well known dash rattle / pop - tick issues that can be easily fixed by TSB's.
