Interesting. I bought a 15 Civic for my daughter over a month ago. I paid the bank $15k( where he financed his car) by check and he paid $1.67K cash. His bank confirmed with my bank(BoA) to clear the check. All good but 5 minutes later another person said they want cash now so they can release the title. I said ok I 'll be back with cash. I came back with a cashiers check. She said she want real cash. I said look who's the fuck dumb enough to carry $15k cash around the area that I know nothing about(northeast Charlotte, NC if you wonder). Really pissed off that I had to wait for another 13 minutes while they call around to verify my certified check. And yes first time on CL

I once drove 4 hours one way to check out a 2013 ski-doo snowmobile that was supposed to be mint. Body panels mis-aligned, obviously new a-arms,... Stevie Wonder could have seen it was in a major front end collision. I wanted to kill the basted. That was a long 4 hour ride home.

After I purchased my Taco I sold my old car over craigslist, a 2008 Honda CRV with about 60,000 miles on it, mint condition. The best offer I could get on trade in was 9k, well below nada values . One salesman offered me 7k and I called his boss over and told them both to go pound sand before walking out. I put it up on Craigslist for 12k, sold to a nice local family for 11K within one week. No weirdos at all, I got lucky. We went to her bank and cashed the cashiers check on the spot before I signed anything.

Sometimes these end up being real companies with a pyramid scheme, other times they're just a scamming web site.

If what they advertise here is true people would trip over themselves to get in the door through word of mouth. They wouldn't have to put out sketchy looking ads.

Dude, I saw that shit all the time while looking for my Tacoma. Bad spelling/words that make no sense are dead giveaways.

I bought my Tacoma off a CL add, carrying more $100 dollar bills than I've ever had in my hand at one time. 250 miles one way, and I was about to puke all the way there. It turned out just fine, and I think I got a damned good deal.

Most cash I've had on hand before was $10,000 in an envelope. All the way to the bank to deposit it, I was damn sure someone was following me and going to mug me. It was some nervewracking shit.

Years ago when I was running g a store at a ski resort my delivery driver got sick or something. Normally he would take my cash to company HQ every few days during holiday periods.
By the end of the week I could not keep it all in my store safe so I had to keep the $ at my home. At the end of the week I drove down to the HQ to get the money out of my hands. Gave the owner of the store a bag with over $30k cash in it. It was a nervous drive for me
I was 22 or 23 then and terrified what would happen if I lost it.

It's always a dead giveaway when there's tons of build up, but with no actual info about the company (not even a name) or a description of the actual job...er "opportunity."

A guy was supposed to come over this morning at 9 to buy some tires, but I haven't heard from him yet. Looks like another CL flake!

Lol that's funny! I just bought a couple of winches from a guy on Saturday, and he was telling me that someone was supposed to buy a set of tires from him at 9am, but they flaked. Some people on Craigslist suck!

Do these people just not take care of priorities, or do they actually enjoy just wasting people's time?

Something seems rather fishy with these two posts. Only one pic in both adds, and seems very possibly the same truck. But both trucks listed at $1500??? Wish I had time to troll them some :anonymous:
