Crank but no start

    When its cold out and you start your truck it runs for a few minutes very rich, and changes the timing to match, if you shut it down during this, it all goes back to normal on the next ignition cycle ( because the computer knows it just ran). So now you have cylinders and intake rich in fuel, bit the engine is trying to crank with the timing set for normal mixture. It has to suck in air, till mixture leans out, then it will start. This is the third post I have answered about the 3rd gens doing this. IT IS NORMAL ON FUEL INJECTED ENGINES WITH VARIABLE TIMING.

    I would strongly suggest using a multimeter to measure voltage. If the voltage is good, move on to the next step, but start with knowing your battery is not the source of the issue.
