Today i started my truck twice without issue. The second time i heared a rattling noise for a second from down the drivers side when i took off and then i parked at a store for a few minutes then when i came back it would crank but no start. I check for codes since i already had check engine light on and no codes other than P0758. I feel like it could be the gas not getting to the engine but how could it be if i was just driving it just fine? I could use some help on what it might be and if i could start it atleast once more so i can take it home.

It could be spark plugs but the engine doesnt even attempt to turn over. Just a constant crank as if it had no fuel getting into the engine. The cat converter was replaced 2 years ago so i dont think its backed up. But its possible maybe an air sensor but again no codes related the fuel or air sensors

Maybe a starter bolt backed out. See if the starter is leaning away from the trans housing.

So our engine is turning over while you hold the key to start just fine? Just not firing up?

Starter is on passenger side for a V6.

I'm leaning towards broke timing belt.

That's why I asked if it's turning over faster then usual...broken belt or a sheared crank pulley key. Turns over quicker since a good number of valves are open.

Is knock sensor a possibility based on the symptom he's describing?

Your fuel pump could have gone out
