Crank position sensor

I’ve searched on here and all I can find for 2nd gens are for the 2.7L motor. Can anyone tell me where this position sensor is for the 4.0L motor? I pulled what I thought would be the right sensor but it’s a magnetic sensor. I’ve also read that it may be behind the starter? Just want to confirm before I start pulling parts.

 

V6 4.0 CPS is located behind/underneath the tensioner mounting block (part of a new tensioner) which is behind the AC compressor so a pain to get to.
Need to pull the alternator out first too.

 

I just had to pull all that mess a little while aho to replace my tensioner, what a freaking pain.

One of the bottom AC bolts is an absolute nightmare to reach.

I recommend you change your VVT-i screens while you're in there, probably your belt tensioner bracket as well.

 

I agree, might as well change the tensioner while you are in there.
Looks like you have an 08’ so at 13 years, I can’t see what it would hurt.
