That's what the schematic seems to show as well.

I agree everything I have says that brown wire is a ground. Should be easy to check with a quick continuity check with the truck off check that terminal to a good chassis ground. Should read 0 ohms resistance.

All of the Brown Wires go to ground and are used for shielded connections where the white with a black stripe are regular signal / power return ground wires.

It does read 0 ohms resistance. Do you know what terminals I need to test for 12v ign and 12v consistent power to ecm?

see if you have power on the EFI no2 fuse, if not check the EFI Relay.

Wouldn't pin # 1 Black come from the EFI Fuse through the EFI Relay then to Pin # 1?

The EFI Relay supplies power to the EFI No2 Fuse...

EFI Fuse >> EFI Relay Contact >> EFI No 2 Fuse, COPN Relay Contact and ECU Pin # 1 Via the black Wire.

The other side pin should be a ground and the bottom pin feeds the black wire.

Maybe i misread the diagram, I've been glancing through it when I've had free time at work.

Then all of your power is correct on the ECM.

    And you verified grounds on E4 pins 6 & 7 (White/Black) and E8 Pins 22 & 29 (White/Black)?

Ensure you verify grounds with an incandescent test light, and NOT simply a DVOM.

All grounds tested good. There was not a E8 pin 29. I'm using a Snap-on led test light that turns green when you find a ground
