Cranks but no start (green mechanic)

Drove home fine, went to start the next morning but nothing. Figured it was my fuel pump, replaced it, still nothing. At one point it would start briefly after a lot of cranking and would imediatly die. Cleaned the TB, did a TB reset (3 slow gas pedal depressions with ignition on, key off, then restart) still nothing, won't even attempt to start. Also, the throttle body makes an odd, almost grinding noise when the gas pedal is depressed (only when key is on) and a high pitched "electical on" type noise when key is on without the pedel depressed. Make sence?
