I noticed my CPS and connector are covered in oil, but it looks like everything else around it is dry. I had the CPS replaced about two years ago, not sure if it was OEM or not. Not throwing any codes, but the truck does stall occasionally when idling or coming to a stop, when RPMs dip too low. Truck usually fires right back up, sometimes I need to give it 30 seconds.

I can't find anything about oil covering the CPS on tacomas, so maybe its from a cheap aftermarket part? Could it be messing with the connection to the sensor and still not throw a code?

I have seen cam and crank sensors leak though the connector and/or around the O-Ring but not on a Toyota yet, then again it could be an aftermarket part.

The low idle issue I would suspect is a dirty throttle body, I'd start with cleaning that.
