I was just joking on the weight...lol. [IMG]

Clearly there is something wrong here that is causing bad MPG.

The only thing I can recommend is try changing your driving habits, this can effect your MPG greatly. Also wouldn't hurt to give your truck a tune-up? New spark plugs, fuel injector cleaner, clean throttle body/MAF, etc, etc. But that would also depend on how many miles you have. If you're over 30k, do this.

If that doesn't do it, take it in.
    Hope that helps.

on freeway I get 20mpg with A/C on the whole time. I rarely turn it off anyways, and I get 15 in city.

I wasnt even pushing it, driving fast, 4x4ing, nothing like that. Just the usual driving around on dirt roads and fields. oh yeah it just had a service a couple of weeks ago, fluids, filters and so on.

    is it running rough?

Even a bad O2 sensor would not bring mpg down that much

Not too insult but post the numbers you have (mileage/how much put in tank) I mean your getting half of what most are experiencing. It can't be a good thing

x2 Something is obviously very wrong. Was it this bad when you first bought it? What has changed? Any service done, or drivability problems recently? Radical mods? Did you fail to mention a supercharger or turbos?

You said you recently switched to v-power... is that when it started? Perhaps your local station has water in it's tanks or something. Try switching stations. Personally I run 91 octane only. Top 3 choices locally are:
    QT (QuikTrip)
    Chevron
Shell v-power (usually only if desperate, the nitrogen gimmick pisses me off)

I'm getting about 18.26 the last few fills.... that's punching it hard WOT on freeway on ramps and passing, recently installing the heavy AllPro front bumper, and general disregard for saving fuel economy. All recent fill ups at QT. Notice my list sticks to Top Tier stations only.

I also run Castol GTX Syntec, K&N oil filter, and a have an AFE Pro Dry filter. Otherwise completely stock.

Also if you switch, run through at least one tank of "good" gas without worring about the result, then refill the same station (and same pump if possible) and then monitor your millage. Allow it to burn through the poor stuff first.

As said before too, check your air filter and anything basic.

Take your filters out, you may want to check your fuel filters too. Pour some cleaner/water vaporizer in your gas next time you fill up and fill up at a different place with different gas. Since your driving around on dirt roads and fields, you are way more likely to get a clogged air filter faster then someone driving in a relatively dust free area.

I get anywhere from 16.7 to 17.1. Mine is a stock '06, manual transmission. On long highway drives I'll get about 22.

I only got one gas station out here so i really cant change the gas. I clean or change filters on the regular. I usually get around 13mpg, which is ok considering I carry alot of tools and equip with me, and it runs all day. But it has now rained again so its gonna get worse for now, and I gotta get back to the mud flingin fun time bs that is work.

Hey our race car burns about a gallon per lap...and a lap is 3/8 of a mile. So we are burning just over 2.5 Gallons/Mile. lol
