You do understand that the water cycle exists? Once water is used it is not lost.
Most of the time I am able to overlook smug self satisfied pretentious nannies. I guess you caught me on a day I just can't. If you wanna dry wipe your truck have at it. If someone else wants to wash thiers mind your own business.

The industrial use of water is tremendously larger than the non industrial. The same with electricity.

A lot of interesting comments in this thread on the ridiculous rules of a certain state.

Fortunately I don't have the winter problem any more, but I'd rather spend what little free time I have on something other than washing my truck. While they are a bit pricey there is a hand car wash a couple of miles from the house that does a pretty good job. I take it there when I can't stand the dust on the inside of the truck any more, which is usually about once a month :)

Meh, you and others missed the point/context of my comment. Sarcasm doesn't work for everyone.

Anyway, just water washed and detailed one vehicle today. Praise be foam cannons. Gotta do the Tacoma and trailer later this week before winter really sets in so hopefully get some rain breaks in this beautiful west coast weather.

I lived in CA for 7 years and left to (hopefully) never go back. I hand-wash my truck with dishwashing soap (yes, palmolive) and a mitten on my driveway every Saturday or Sunday morning. No tunnel car wash for my baby. It leaves scratches on the paint that build up and wear down your paint wash after wash. It’s worth the effort.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
All y'all worrying about scratches at the car wash...contact @pearing and take one of his favorite trails. You'll be so pinstriped up that it won't matter anymore. It's a truck fercrissakes.

Yeah, I like my truck looking good but I'm not going to lose my shit over a couple of minor scratches.

When my city ran out of water last summer ONR was great... I have another property with a well and a river. I was able to bring a few gallons home from there and wash both vehicles with very little water.

Now I use ONR quite often, one to avoid car washes, two because I'm much more cognizant of how precious our water resources really are. I keep a small spray bottle around for quick cleans of anything in the garage. I can wash my mountain bike with less than a pint of water.

Water will always exist but not always in the area where you need it. Cyles happen but you never know how long the dry part of that cycle may last.

If that was meant as sarcasm and I missed it, then I sincerely apologize for being a jerk. I know that sometimes I take things the wrong way.
