Haha, all good brother. It's enough you'll have everyone under the sun reading your first post and just replying back with "yes it does".

31k miles on mine and no brake issues. I don't drive like a maniac but I also don't baby the brakes. Limited towing to just around town. It is possible you have a one off issue. Powerstop is a good source for brakes.

I see you have a few previous posts referring to airbag setup, WD hitch, and brake controller, so I'll assume you tow- that would be something related to add when complaining about brake life. It sounds common for 3rd gens to to well over 50-60k miles or more on front pads, so I would look to your tow setup first.

Warped rotors are usually caused by improperly installed brake pads or worn down pads .worst case you might have a bad brake caliper that doesn’t engage properly .

44k and holding up great, every taco has been this way. Like others have said, could be over torqued lugs nuts, maybe issue with the calipers.

71k on original brakes & pads, I'll do a BBK when this stuff is done probably in another 20k or so.

i brake kinda like you say you don't... i do not brake light. at least with these light trucks the brakes don't seem to like it too light for too long on them. so maybe brake harder, coast to your stop and brake firmly again at the end. just don't ride them lightly.

The rotors on the 2015 I bought used last year with 22k miles were shot, too. I replaced them and the front shocks.

I would highly recommend pulling those pad retaining pins out and cleaning the rust off of them. They have a nasty habit of rusting in place turning a simple pad change into a major project. I do it every time I have the wheels off.

From past experience I can recommend oem rotors over the rest. And TRD Pads are the best I have found overall oem pads second best. I have run bosch rotors and ebc yellow pads, they worked awesome while towing but chew thru rotors like crazy due to the amount of metal in the pads. I always wire brush polish the pins and add synthetic greast to them and the slide areas on brake jobs. Most the economy auto parts brand pads will cause squeaking coming to a easy stop, no amount of pad liners or goop lining the back will prevent this with economy pads. Also its been my experience with rotors, once they are warped, throw em away, buy new ones, resurfacing rotors works for about six months max, then the warpage comes back. Waste of money, far better to start out with new rotors on new pads most brake jobs expecially if you tow a lot. Your right excessive tightening of lug nuts can cause rotor warpage as can overheating brakes with too much use, use a torque wrench to be sure every time, if your rotors are in nice shape then just new pads can suffice and make an easy brake job. Towing thru mountains and steep grades, switchbacks, is really hard on brakes while towing. That is where I generally tow my TT going on vacations.

I did, and I'm happy. I have a summit racing in town and they had a good deal on them.

My 2001 tundra front brakes developed bad rotors at 30k miles. I bought a set of ebc slotted and drilled rotors while using a new set of toyota ceramic pads. Those rotors were still on the truck at 292k miles.

mine too. Replaced with OEM discs which means I’ll probably need to replace them again.
