Wait, who tried to sue you?

 

The guy that ran into the disabled car. My truck was a tertiary vehicle in the accident. I never heard anything else about the lawsuit, but they did claim it was due to negligence. This was in November. USAA did a great job in dealing with it all. I got many calls, but I refused to give out any information. USAA wanted me at first to give the other insurance company's a statement but it was several weeks after the fact while USAA had me do a recorded one the day after. I had them transcribe and send the copy, then I started getting calls from PI's, and after refusing to talk to them I get the notice I'm being sued by the second driver. And I got a notice of a lien from the hospital he went to, which just so happens to be my employer.. just a shitty situation all the way around. I didn't hear much after March about it all though.

 

By the way, she looks good now.

In most states you'd be covered by a "Good Samaritan" law trying to provide aid. I had the same when I tried to extricate a driver in a roll-over accident.
He died in the car in my hands and his wife then tried to sue me claiming I caused his death. Allegations went no-where because of the GS law.

 

So you stop to help and she tries to sue you. Wtf has this world come to. It truly is a mad world
