Bingo. You won’t know if it’s worth fixing until you know what has to be fixed and that means start taking everything apart. If the control arm mounts are twisted or the cost of new and salvage yard replacements exceed what you can buy a similar truck for in your area then it might be time to part her out.

    YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!
Wife was involved in a multi vehicle accident. Guilty party was all Meth'd Up.
Officer on scene gave her a report number to give to insurance. Wrote it on his business card. His hand writing.

After three weeks of fighting to get the report, and getting ghosted, she went to the police station and asked the cop behind the glass if she could help - gave her the business card. Cop comes back and says "That report doesn't exist." So my wife asks what to do next? Cop at desk asks if she has called the officer whose B-Card she was holding. Yes. So the Cop at the desk goes and gets his superior / supervisor. Turns out it got filed under a different number. So she gets the report E-Mailed to her and goes home.

When she gets home there is no mention of her, her car, her license plate, her drivers license or anything in the report. But the pictures clearly show her car and her person standing on the side of the road. How can this be?

So she calls for two more weeks and then has to go back to the police station - mind you this happened 65 miles from home so it's an hour plus each way to go to the PoPo. Turns out this case has been assigned to a different officer who wasn't even on scene. He has been wondering whose blue mustang that was and "been trying to reach her" even though the license plate was CLEARLY visible in the pictures.

She re-explains the incident to the new officer who is amazed because it fills in all of the missing pieces he was trying to put together. A full six weeks after the accident and two trips to the police station (Prescott AZ), she gets a report that is "accurate enough" to give to insurance.

Yep, my last few years of being a police officer unless a fatality, driver 1 statement and driver 2 statement then any witnesses statement......then let the insurance companies hash it out.

Oh man! That's rough. You might be able to pickup another used one for the same cost of getting that thing fixed maybe? Parting it out is always an option, but that's only if you've got the time and space. Sorry about your situation:annoyed:

Also...similar to what others mentioned above. This is the kinda stuff where dashcams really help straighten out the story. In any case, good luck!
