Well that's not exactly what I said. But what you wanted to hear. Have you even used crawl control?.. I am just saying your shouldn't rely solely on a computer to do the work for you... That's all... Sorry if I have real world experience with it... If you get your truck stuck deep enough in snow or mud.. Your computer won't be able to help you out. No matter what I say I can't change your mind.. And for that I am sorry...

I think misunderstanding is that some people think Crawl Control makes it better. it does not. Its convenience that's all it is. If you keep truck short enough you dont have to worry, if you planning to keep truck longer you may need to replace something in that system, and that will cost you arm and a leg. So some people (those who plan for the future) tend to not like things like that.

Actully that dude just learned about nice Crawl Control future. ... what happens when Crawl Control thinks vehicle is bogging down and decides to give more gas to move forward.
8:11 is the sound of Angry crawl control Gods.
    :D
Lesson #1 of Vehicle with Crawl Control, never use it on snow..

Also not sure why he did not try Crawl Control to get out. In a day or a year it would crawl back out. :)

A lot of off road traction controls work poorly in ice and snow. I suspect crawl control will be the same. The last thing on ice you need is much braking. The locking differential is an automatic loss of control to ice. Sometimes prayer is the only thing that works.... Along with a good helping of profanity.

the electronics that coordinate the other systems is all that is needed. It will not need any additional repairs over the abs and sensors you already have for your other traction aids. It definitely needs less attention. A well used mechanical Locking differential would be less Reliability. Having abs use traction aids means you use the more expensive to repair mechanical ones less . I like the off road because it gives you all the toys. If your tired and you just want to get home as quickly and easily as possible having all these options is good. I feel good traveling off road with others if their and my safety require a. I ice to go for help. AAA doesn't venture too far off the beaten path.

I have lost my respect for Toyota merchandizing.....
Why have a TRD Off Road in 2 wd. 6 inches of mud and a steep hill and you're not going anywhere. The only way I can see a 2 wd OR is if it came with a take out and delivery chopper service.

Why do people mod a 2wd to look like a 4wd? That is lift it, put on big tires, etc. Some like the looks and they have the money.
