Fair enough... I may have not thought that through. Maybe this is a better statement. In the proper conditions, you can fine tune the speeds so that it is not making those awful noises. If you cannot fine tune it, then you probably don’t need to be using CC.

That's also incorrect, the noises and slower speeds are totally normal and occur in all Toyota and Lexus models across the board. It's a normal characteristic.

Haha. Ok you win. This is why I have been on this forum for a year and only 10 posts. Internet folks just like to argue.
I’ll stick to reading. Taking things with a grain of salt. Realize some things work for some folks, some don’t. Some folks have different experiences, some have different opinions.
I’ll save you a post and tell you this is all incorrect too.

    Another CC win last weekend...
Super steep hill, snow drift probably 150 ft stretch, sharp angle. We dug a trench on the uphill side so no one would slide off. Party was a Polaris Razor, Gen 1 Taco and mine. Razor went first, couldn’t make it but those things are so light we pushed it up. Sucked and jacked up the trail. Fixed the track and I was up next... crawled right up no issue, used the lowest gear in CC mode. Gen 1 made it about 50 ft. I had to back down and then pulled him out.
im super pleased with this feature.

Oh, TW, everything's a pissing contest.
CC is 'kinda' gimmicky but can also be quite effective. For the novice off-roader it's an excellent feature in case one gets into a tricky situation. I've used it in scenarios when I didn't need it but wanted to test it out. Honestly it's kinda cool. That said, if it suddenly disappeared out of my truck I wouldn't be too upset about it.

CC is the most aggressive form of A-TRAC. It applies either throttle and/or braking to the wheels depending on what each individual wheel needs. It’s not a gimmick, it’s gotten me through a lot of situations that traditional finesse of the gas pedal just wasn’t doing.

Crawl is great if you get stuck in sand and loose deep gravel, it will dig itself out. Mud and snow not so much. Other than that very slow cruise control on steep up, down hills.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
