So I just took my truck out to the mountains. Found a very steep hill to climb. Crawl control went right up without hesitation. I'm beginning to think Toyota really wants you to "need" crawl control before it will work.

Did additional testing this weekend and I'm confident in saying that mine is working as expected both forward and in reverse. Mfg 11/19 in Baja.

Guess your experience has been different than mine, I’ve found it very useful getting up difficult rock steps, and descending steep, deeply rutted down grades with more control than my own inputs. Is it as fun?... no, it does much of the work for you, just pick a line and go. It definitely reduces the pucker factor over some obstacles.

I can assure you this is not the case for people having this issue. My truck refuses to crawl up a very steep hill in crawl control, I have tested on multiple steep hills and the truck just stops moving while older Tacoma's crawl up it just fine. My father's is the same way and I know others like this as well.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
I was going to ask if @MESO was having a steampunk phase :transformer:

Maybe it’s a silent fix to prevent smoking while on a steep incline. There a long thread regarding this
