    It may work good in some situations, but it sure didn't work for the guy that had to drive a couple hundred miles out of baja in 4lo to get towed to a dealer. All because of a broken plastic actuator that got damaged and was denied warranty

    We had a 4runner in like that recently, it actually overheated the front axle more than any-other driveline component. Lots of force on the system in 4Lo haha.

    Thanks for the responses. Makes sense. I have been "off reading" since 1966 and got my start in OD vehicles provided by Uncle Sam. No electronics available.
