Just wanted to give a shout out to the crawl control system because it totally saved my butt today. I was scouting some of my deer hunting spots and the roads have some real bad spots on them. Needless to say I got stuck in 4LO and was digging deeper into the mud. I put on my locker and still could not get through (forward or reverse). I was getting ready to call a friend for help when I remembered about the crawl control (I had never used before) and decided to try it out. I turned it on in reverse and sure enough SLOWLY but surely my truck began to inch backwards out of the mud and eventually got me out of a sticky situation. Thanks crawl control!

As crawl control could not make it this evening due to a prior engagement, I'll accept on its behalf and say "You're welcome!"

Crawl control is to Tacoma OR drivers, what a First Aid kit is to Backpackers.
I'm looking forward to being able to use it to its fullest capability someday soon!

    Nice man.

Toyota really knows what they are doing when it comes to 4x4. I went wheeling the other day and was able to get over obstacles on my first try while some guys in Nissans with better tires had multiple attempts.

Got stuck on a super steep hill climb on some roots and it pulled me out no problem. Was like magic.

Haven't had to use it but I'm glad to hear of people that have and liked it. The fact that it has been a feature on the land Cruiser for quite some time sold me on it when I bought the truck but I was starting to believe folks that call it a gimmick due to the idiotic youtube videos showing it not working.

I made the mistake of believing the nay-sayers who said it was nothing but a gimmick, but (in my mind) they were proven wrong yesterday. I suppose people would argue that with "proper throttle control" and technique you dont need crawl control BUT, to tell you the truth, "aint nobody got time for that".

I tried crawl control last weekend and was happy to make it up a steep trail with it when I couldn't do it on my own. I need more seat time but it's nice having it available. Would have been a long ass walk home.

Haven't had a chance to use mine, but looking forward to it. You know what is funny... most of the people bashing crawl control on this forum are driving 2nd gens or 3rd gen sports.
