I was just told by a shop in Indy that you cannot put a suspension lift on a Tacoma that has crawl control. Any truth to this or steer clear of this idiot?

Ask him if 4runners are okay.

    I bet he says yes.

Sounds to me he's either confusing crawl control with TSS or he's ill informed and passing it around. Either way on the CC or TSS they both can be lifted. CC has nothing to do with how high the vehicle is. The TSS does need to be readjusted if lifted but still, sounds like a guy who doesn't understand what he sells.

Have you considered doing the suspension lift yourself?

They're typically not all that hard. The big benefit, for me, besides saving cash is that I know it was done well and if anything fails in the middle of no where I know how to fix it.

Your first thought was that he's an idiot. Something he said or did made you think that, was it his mullet? or his '99 Dodge 5.9 with the twin vertical exhaust stacks in the parking lot?

The guy checked with his BDS rep and all is good, he had heard that there was an issue with CC and lifts through BDS when that feature first came out. His rep must have schooled him.

Don’t have the tools or space to do it anymore or else I would do it myself. I have a place in Indy to do the lift and wheels so I think I will just get it all done at once. Sounds like all I need is longer shocks and struts and add a leaf.
