Has anyone ever seen a bed shell camper that instead of a being a full camper with sleeping/kitchen/whatever functionality is wholly devoted to just being a bathroom? Think of a larger airplane bathroom that's pimped out a bit, and now you're getting what I'm thinking.

I'm an avid backpacker/outdoorsman/adventurer and have spent hundreds of nights in tents cooking with a backpacking stove, none of which bother me. Constantly having to shit in the woods because of a GI condition however is really annoying.

Just wanted to see if anyone has ever seen something like this before I dive down a potentially expensive rabbit hole. I'm imagining it will be easier to convert an existing shell, however I'm open to fabbing one up out of aluminum if necessary so I can have dedicated areas for black water and clean water tanks.

I'm thinking I can make this all happen on a budget of $5k?

$5000 is a lot. Are you planning on using a real toilet or one of the portable plastic ones?

Why not make one from a small utility trailer? Seems like it would be a lot easier to modify and more economical.

Ideally would like install/removal to be under an hour with 2 adults (which is why I'm thinking converting an existing camper shell is the best option).

This was actually my original idea, but I do not have a good track record towing a trailer offroad (I actually broke the "frame" of my 5x8 Interstate in CA). I'm not completely opposed to towing, but want to explore the possibility of a bed solution first.

I had to pay some gypsies 35 cents to piss in a putrid hole in the ground at a train station in Bucharest ... Buck a shit on a mobile porcelain throne in middle of the woods strikes me as a bargain!

Agreed and again my wife would love it. But I already have an off road camping trailer I could add this for about 750. Or go with the post above.
