how does that 1/2 din center channel work?

 

You can use it below a single DIN radio to fill in the the pocket. The amp is a single channel very small unit, almost like you can put it inside the dash. The speaker has 5-6 small 1" full range drivers. The JVC I have for sale has center channel RCA outputs for 5.1 surround. Pretty sweet.
