As fellow members have mentioned , aftermarket parts get boxed up incorrectly all the time .Have even seen parts from the dealer get boxed incorrectly . This is why it is so important to match the new with the old when replacing clutches .
Did the machine shop give you the resurface cut specifications for the flywheel ?
Did the shop who replaced the clutch for you release the truck back to you this way ?

No specs were given to me, just was told its still within spec. My main concern was warpage (but I dont abuse a clutch) and was told it was flat as a pancake. Yes I got it back that way because I cant afford 70 an hour for someone to "try to figure it out". I was starry eyed by the thought of leaving it there and picking it up later all fine and dandy when I just should have done it myself so I knew exactly what was going on, ie compare parts. I took it because it was exactly as I left it no worse no better. I really miss my 90 corolla 4afe 5 speed, I used it like a truck and drove it places only a truck should go. Kinda reminded me of the pine sol lady, ruff to look at but learn how to treat her and she is sweet. Load her up drive her hard come in sideways and on fire...and all she says is "THATS THE POWER OF PINE SOL!"

My clutch is sometimes hard to get into 1st from a stop. I have to double clutch or ram it in. And it will creep a little at a stop. Never really investigated why, but it's gotten a lot better after putting a few thousand miles on it.

I am hoping it will "wear in". It works and im about broke from this nightmare. It works prettu good if I grab second then stop and put it in first. But stopping then trying for first is like you said, shove it in. anyone know of a z bar conversion? Lol I would go meehanical if its cheap, then I would have some new parts for sale lol

Did you put in a "stage" clutch or oem replacement? Mine is a stage 2. You can definitely tell it's a performance clutch. It chatters some when letting it out and it grabs very quickly off the floor.

No stage that I know of, just the exedy clutch you get if you call napa. I told them to use it because of what I have read online. Recommeded by other tacoma owners.
