I've been following this saga of the dented hood, has it been mentioned of what charges the perpetrator was jailed on?

    So here's the thing...

I was running late for work and I couldn't find parking. I did not blatantly run the stop sign. There was a van parked to my left which obscured my view of the crosswalk. I saw nobody coming and rolled the stop sign. I never saw the guy until he punched the side of my cab. The footage from my dashcam showed that the pedestrian saw me coming and stopped, as if to let me by. I admit I was in in a rush and not paying attention. He then punched my truck. I did not almost hit him. It was my fault, and I totally fucked up. However, I did not almost hit the guy. Explain to me how it's alright for someone to punch my property just because they're angry? This was in Doylestown Borough, and I've lost count of the number of times I've almost been run over by idiot drivers. I've screamed at people, and even flipped them off, but I've never hit someone's car (as tempting as that may be). Needless to say, I haven't run a stop sign in Doylestown since that asshole punched my truck.

One time in a shopping center parking lot back in 2015, some old woman in a Honda Accord started backing up and her back bumper hit me in the knees. I was screaming at her to stop, but she didn't hear me. I started pounding on the trunk of her car to get her attention, and it worked. I screamed at her "Why don't you look where the fuck you're going?!?!" and stormed into the hardware store. She was so shaken up she sat in that spot for more than five minutes before leaving.

Difference between me pounding on the old lady's trunk and the pedestrian punching my truck? I was trying to get her attention so she didn't knock me over and back over me. My intent was most certainly NOT to damage her car or be an asshole. The pedestrian was just pissed at me even though I didn't actually almost hit him and wanted to be a tough guy. Punching my truck got him cussed at, but nothing else happened...

I once had a drunk college student run up to my truck and start pounding on the hood, just because I beeped at him (In, you guessed it, Doylestown Borough)...

He and his friends were walking right down the middle of the street, blocking traffic.

I also encountered yet another drunk guy while driving home from work (I used to work at a bar; this was also in Doylestown). He was taking his sweet time crossing the street, so I turned on my high-beams to "entice" him. I did not beep the horn, rev the engine, or accelerate towards him. I merely turned on the brights, and he threw up his hands gave me a "WTF?" look. He then started walking towards my truck, looking very much like he wanted to fight. I just drove around him...

Is he a homeowner OR a renter? If he is a homeowner, 99% chance he has a homeowners insurance policy which covers personal liability. If he is a renter, it's 50/50 chance he has a renters policy.

You can file a claim with his homeowners insurance policy if you can find out who he is insured with, OR if you have full coverage on the truck, file a claim with your insurance company and make them FULLY AWARE of what happened and they will pay for repairs and go after him and/or his insurance company.

OR, just file a lawsuit, you will get judgement. Won't cost but few hundred dollars. Will ruin his credit until he settles up :)
