Ok folks, 1 week before CC.... I hear theres some rain planned for this week so it'll make things real interesting & may change trail choices

yet to be determined...

 

Rain in CC makes nearly every diamond trail impassable. Hopefully it's just done dampness. Would be nice to get some damp nights in Oco too, knock the dust down.

 

Great I just bought new rubber for my dirt bike and I know that they suck for mud/wet rocks. So hopefully its no too damp or wet.

 

Ya when its wet its hard to stay on course. It's do-able but you run a high risk of sliding into obstacles and there are some pretty tight spots that are challenging enuf when it's dry.

 

You are right on all points Tyler, theres too many spots on the rated trails where you need the rocks to be DRY for traction to get thru obstacles, even if fully locked front & rear crawlers avoid if possible & it matters not if its sunny when the run takes place theres alot of clay thru out the canyon & those hills hold water & drain slowly. The run will still take place but will probably be restricted to the TDS loop which , trust me will be hard enough... winching trucks every 200ft or so the entire day isn't my idea of a fun run & theres no room for error on the harder trails when dry , when wet,,, forget about it... But the TDS is very challenging when wet & fun & it still takes a few hours to complete.. We'll just have to wait & see

 

Looks like maybe a little rain/mud in our future Mr. Woot, they're calling for rain possibly on Thursday, remember what i said about getting the rare early snow in October ?? Keep your fingers crossed for a snow run.....

There was a snow trip like 2 years ago.

 

That was my last 4wd until the current ride that I got back this July. Now that I have a 4wd again I'm looking for some snow again.
