I am working on a logo for a Property Management company, it may be called DOUBLETAP PROPERTY MANAGEMENT...what would you say is a good four letter abbreviation for DOUBLETAP? DBLT?

Or should it be five letters at DBLTP?

    Thanks.

Yeah, but it's still up in the air if this is the name they're gonna go with. The intent is that the Property Management company is thorough, and they'll make sure things are done...plus it's in a military town.

Shortening double tap seems like a stretch. If they insist go with the 5 letter because I can at least discern what it’s supposed to mean. At that point you’re only shortening it by 4 letters tho so why not just use the full name?

They could also pick a better name for a property management company. When I hear double tap I think gun shop, range, or training. Not property management.

I mean no offense OP but why would a property management co. want a logo that has anything to do with guns, shooting, killing? Seems weird and inappropriate to me. I know it certainly wouldn’t attract me to the business

Not sure. I think, just like I said, it's an attempt to say that they'll get the job done. They have other names in mind and I have other logos for them as well (for those other names).

It's not a very good attempt. Even as a gun enthusiast "Double Tap" doesn't imply extra thorough to me.

It's one of those business names where I'd read it and based on the name think they do something completely different than what they actually do.
