Crazy vibration

Hello,
I'm getting a terrible engine vibration while waiting for lights to turn if I leave it in drive. It's something about that certain RPM that it just hates (you can see the hood bouncing). I don't get it at any other RPM, so I shift to neutral while waiting. I've been told there's nothing they can do to raise the RPM. Does this sound like a motor mount issue? I called the shop & they told me it would be $1200 just in labor (8 hours). Does that sound crazy? Any ideas?

Have someone press firmly on the brake while in Drive and give it some gas. If you see engine movement that could be a sign of a bad mount. Also look from the side to be safe.

 

I haven’t done a motor mount on a Tacoma but my wife’s Corolla the main motor mount took me 2 hours to change in my garage.
