So. I have searched here and elsewhere without much success so I thought that I would post an open ended question to see what develops. I have seen some similar post regarding Toyota Highlanders and Teslas though.

I have had my Tacoma for nearly a year now and I have had constant vision issues driving the truck that I have have never had before with 10 personal vehicles, many work trucks, and almost weekly car rentals when traveling for work over 30 years.

I wear tri-focal glasses for reading and mid range vision. A tiny prescription for long distance. Before you ask, yes, eyes checked, new prescription in August with a change so small that the optometrist said I didn't need new glasses. Because of the truck issue I spend the $$ on the new glasses. Problem continues.

In a nutshell, when I drive the truck, for the fist 30 min to an hour, my head is swimming and I sometimes feel sick to my stomach or I get a low grade headache. Street and and highway signage is sharp in other vehicles, never sharp in this truck. When I take my glasses off in the truck it's almost like there is a magnification factor between the two (windshield and glasses.)

Over Thanksgiving week with the kids and their two cars I had no issue, soon as I got off the plane at home on Friday and into the truck I felt like crap the whole way home.

Yesterday the wife said she noticed looking into the truck from the passenger side that it appears "wavy" in front of the driver. I have to take a closer look at it today from both sides but I suspect its the tinting. Who knows. However, I spent a few hours yesterday on my Harley and for the hell of it I spent a lot of time looking through the windshield which is no where near optically correct or clear, and, I had no issues.

I'm used to having glasses on now so I have not tested any long term driving without the glasses on, though, on occasion I do take them off when with the swimming gets bad and I do seem to feel better. But then the dash is out of focus.

Anyone with or without glasses having issues ????

    Thanks in advance.

I have an aftermarket windshield (Fuyao) after a rock chip turned crack murdered my OEM one. The "curve" has 2 somewhat dramatic bends about 30% in from the sides on both sides - the same as OEM but somehow more amplified, if you will, mostly toward the top of the windshield. Also mine's pretty tinted (didn't come like that) and I wear glasses. I don't get seasick or anything, but it's definitely noticeable looking at the vehicle from the outside. The index of light refraction has to be altered in those spots, so it wouldn't be a surprise if this was causing your problems. I'll try to pay more attention while driving and see if I notice anything. I've had almost 40 vehicles, and I have never seen windshields that bends like this. Not that it's a big deal, it's just kinda weird. It's even more noticeable (from the outside) with it tinted as you can see reflections bend easier. Tricky to get a pic of, so here's one from the inside for fun...

Might just be the angle of the camera but it almost appears like the opposite curb / horizon bends ??

Eh, can't really judge from pic. Between angle and iphone panorama effect there's no telling. I took the pic randomly a couple days ago to show 183S construction, wasn't thinking about windshield.
