when I turn at low speeds, such as in a parking lot, my truck talks to me. It is a creaking sounds from the front. My front end is basically new. I have new LCAs, new kings, SPC UCAs, new reman'd steering rack with poly bushings, UBJs are fairly new, and new CVs.

The creaking sounds like something is moving and reverbing off the skids.

I have made sure my cam bolts are tight, removed front diff drop, full skids are tight, and all components are tight.

Could i have overlooked a bolt that is allowing the shift?

I didnt grease the steering rack bushing.. could that be it?

What about the front diff arm mount shifting a tad and reverbing off the skids?

My steering is tight with no leaks visible in the inner rod boots. I have removed the skids and can faintly hear it so the skids are increasing the volume of the creak.

Thoughts? it is really frustrating because i dont have anyone to turn the wheel while i checkout below..

Mine used to do that after a long day of wheeling. Greasing the UCA bushings did the trick.

I have SPC UCAs with poly bushings. How do you grease yours?

Loosen the UCA bolts, pump some grease in there, then tighten the bolts back down. Be careful and go slow so that you do not cause the Poly bushing to mushroom/bulge (this is why you must loosen the UCA bolts so the grease has somewhere to go)

I have retorqued all my rack bolts and front diff mount bolts. Also, I noticed my carrier bearing has alot of play. I believe the combo of loose front diff mount bolt and worn carrier bearing and most of the noise. I will report back when i install the new carrier bearing.

Spray down your balls. Uni-balls that is. Go get yourself a can of Tri-flo. Become friends with it.

Summit Racing. They have great customer service and are willing to warranty this one if the carrier bearing doesnt fix the issue. I am trying to do everything i can to confirm it is the rack before submitting a warranty claim.
