Amen!! I still think the biggest problem is Chinese steel. It is junk just like everything they make over there, a cheap disposable imitation of the real thing. Seven trucks later I finally got the Tacoma I always wanted and look where I am. By the way, the second dealership looked at my truck last Tuesday and failed my frame. Then they had me drive another hour on Wednesday to drop off the truck. Still no word from corporate about a new frame. Something tells me I'm not going to be able to change my username. But it sounds like I might be sparing someone else the greef I went through. Good luck with whatever you buy.

It's already rotted through, four holes that I found and I wasn't under there very long.

Can someone please tell me how I'm supposed to hose off my frame in the winter when my hose is frozen?

    Prevent hose from freezing.
Remove spray head from hose end, remove other end from sillcock/spigot.
Raise hose end overhead, the water flowing out other end will help siphon as you raise next 10' overhead. Repeat to drain all water. Store coiled hose flat with ends connected indoors during winter or bring coiled hose indoors a few hours prior to use.

Your truck wont rust but all the rubber bushings underneath and hoses will rot.

You're right but you gotta admit 35,700 miles is pretty short lived for a truck. Even at 12 years old.

I believe a Danish astronomer named E.N.Tropy first theorized that phenomenon.

I don't think any truck frame with 35,700 miles on it should have holes in it. Yeah. Lol

AZ eats Batteries, Clear coat, Fender flares, Upholstery and washes it down with long life pink coolant through blown head gaskets.

Good for you. Maybe in 2029 when your frame is 12 years old you'll post about frame rust if you keep it that long. Lol

35,000 miles done in the desert vs 35,000 done in the rust belt during winter.... Yeah

And time is the factor here. Exposure time.

Well I'm a little apprehensive to post this due to all the bickering and finger pointing, also it's not a done deal. However it looks like I'll be driving this Camry for a few more weeks. I just talked to the dealership that has my truck and corporate finally approved my frame. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed and praying that it's true. Will let you know the outcome. Thanks to those of you who have been in my corner.
