    I'm specifically referring to America.
All bets are off anywhere else.

You're arguing against something I never said. And you're free to continue, but it is only an argument with yourself and not with me.

Nothing prevents homosexuals from living together. They can even have ceremonies performed in homosexual churches. And they're already granted the legal status of civil unions by their god the government.

    But that's not enough...

They want their perverted relationships to be called "marriage", the same word that describes the moral man/woman relationship which forms the basis of civilization itself... the family.

A cool theory I saw on the science channel the other day is that the big bang is simply the butthole of a black hole.

Seems more legit than most theories...

People behave they way they need to survive in a tribe. Cooperation serves the individual to various degrees. But if you steal my food and threaten my existence, I might have to kill you.

And it's called synchronous rotation. It spins on it's axis once every rotation around the Earth.

Wow... I didn't know anyone could cram their head that far up their ass. Your view of the world is a sad and frightening one indeed. While, I am very conservative on many topics I am going to say that your opinion here is formulated out of fear rather than fact. Have a fun existence in your frightened world it'll be a lonely one.

As for evolution I feel like many people have misunderstood Darwin's original hypothesis that humans and apes have a common ancestor. Looking at skeletal structure and embryonic development one can see just how true this is. Further more genetics studies have shown that while, humans have one less chromosome than primates there is chemical evidence that two of our chromosomes had fused together at some point in our evolution. While, evolution may not be 100 % correct it's better than claiming that the Earth is only 4000 years old. Evolutionary theory has stood continuous testing from evolutionary biologists, zoologists and countless other scientist while, creationism simply shuts the door of discovery in your face. If you truly educate yourself on the matter you'll see the overwhelming evidence in support of evolution and that it doesn't contend with religion nor does it seek to disprove it.

I can understand your reaction when a non believer degrades one of the Holy Sacraments of your religion.

Happens all the time to Christians. ;)

I have no religion and fortunately am not saddled with the intolerance and fear associated with yours ;)

Does that justify modeling your own behavior after apes? I'd hope not.

Enlighten me how I have modeled my own behavior after apes. Am I throwing feces at you? Am I howling and fighting physically with you? Am I plugging my ears and closing my eyes in hopes that the disagreement or storm will be gone when I open them again? How is it my behavior is that of an ape?

Keep on quoting. It doesn't get your anywhere. If I quoted the Book of Mormon, Navgorad, ancient Norse texts, etc. you wouldn't really care would you? What you consider holy only matters to you. Now that I've educated you on Thor it is your responsibility to worship him or reap the consequences when you meet him!!! (Sounds silly doesn't it? That's how you sound...)

I think where you're confused is that not everybody needs a religion like you do. You assume that everybody has a religion. You can have your teddy bear if it makes you sleep better. Once again, politics don't equal religion.

I don't understand your response. Humans are just an advanced form of animal. They are still driven by the same basic life needs and urges. And whether it is in a corporate environment, a softball team, or the armed services, or wherever, we belong to various tribes within which we must find ways to coexist for the purpose of the tribes goal. And if other tribes conflict with our needs or goals, the tribes may battle, whether Windows and Mac in the IT world, the Cougars vs. the Padres on the softball diamond after work, or The US Army vs. the Taliban.

:gossip:he has said it to himself so many times in front of the mirror that he believes it is true and makes sense now, so he is beyond hope.
