The people I know with kids conceived when they were in their own words "trying to live a straight life" In fear of losing everything... They're much happier now.

    They made a choice.

one can disagree on the issue of sin. but the fact remains...they made a choice.

They made a choice to try the straight life because they were born gay...and they didn't like it

Thats what I took away from that

they were born homosexual, but choose to try the heterosexual lifestyle?

that's not a real good argument for your position.

I won't acknowledge that a choice was made but will that they lost something. Their parents and siblings disowned a few of them, They lost a lot of their childhood friends and are now the shameful "kid" in their family and for many lost a place to live (for the ones that lived at home).

Konabone got the nail on the head, They were gay but were so persistent on trying to be like everyone else until they couldn't take it anymore.

    Stranger things have happened.

largely a Catholic tradition (although other religions practice)...

babies are baptized because they are too young to know Jesus.

almost all adults who follow Jesus get water baptized. many do it multiple times.

here, it's done in the Gulf of Mexico...I'm due a dunking. :D

Similar fate has fallen upon heterosexuals who choose a sexually sinful lifestyle.

    What would that be?

I don't have a religion, So I couldn't care less what other people consider sinful.

    Because people
    Like many in this thread
Despise of homosexuals and society dictates they be like "everyone else"

    Makes sense to me

I have yet to see someone legitimately lose everything because they chose to have sex outside of marriage or use contraceptives in this country.
