The Bible hasn't been 'rewritten'.....only translated.

I don't remember saying I 'blindly' follow Him.

And the church doesn't control me or my relationship with God.

    http://www.allabouttruth.org/holy-bible.htm

can we go back to the fact that we have never seen one animal turn into another animal? That is a simple discussion isn't it. This complicated stuff makes me study harder, learn more, and realize even deeper how God DOES exist. Hey ya'll, just so ya know, I talk to God daily and he has told me he loves everyone equally and is always available if you need Him. Just sayin'....
    quoted from the link below.........
"The next time someone uses the word science in relation to the creation/evolution controversy, ask him first to define what he means. Only then can you begin to have a fruitful discussion about origins. "

This just might be me but I have never seen it where a scientist states that it's a fact until it has been proven completely. When you say scientists instantly jump to conclusion I don't think that's the case. I simply think that they make it so the theory has a logical answer with the data that is there at the time as an answer, yet continue to disprove that answer, which, if it's impossible to do then becomes a fact. That's what happens when I have seen scientists make the conclusion. If later on down the road they find new evidence to falsify that answer then they simply do so and start over again. This is just from my experience but that crime scene does make a logical point.

I'm took a world religions class last quarter which was on ancient religions as well as the three Abrahamic religions as well and now I am taking an intro to Anthropology class. It's definitely interesting to see the two classes bashing together. I agree take an anthropology class if it's possible.

It's true that we have not seen one creature suddenly change into another creature, however, that doesn't mean that it's not possible. There are full body fossils that show either different creatures with mutations. I knew of a link before that explained this however I can't find it at the moment. Creatures suddenly won't appear instantly just like a god can't instantly change water to wine in front of our eyes. I must say I do like that quote that you posted at the end though definitely true statement, however one must also be able to explain the creation story front and back as well.

This is definitely an interesting topic I'm glad it's still hear and hopefully staying within it's boundaries not to offend people and will continue to be a deep discussion.

Yes we have seen a animal turn into another animal. Human's evolved from chimps, we share 96% - 98% of their DNA. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/library/faq/cat02.html

One thing we haven't seen for sure is God. And if you say you have please check yourself into the nearest mental home. (humor) To me the idea that some supreme being controls our desires, our paths, our decision making is pure BS. The idea that we were created by some all powerful being here on earth, but nowwhere else seems farfetched. I mean, what so special about earth, why didn't God create people on Mars, or Saturn, etc. You know why, becasue he didn't create us here. The conditions have been just right for humans and every other species to evolve into what they are today here on earth.

King James 1611 is a translation of the Textus Receptus and Masoretic texts. Many other Bible translations are also based on these same texts. It's a translation into the language at the time, not a rewrite of the Bible. It makes the Bible understandable in the language of the day (we don't speak 17th century King James English).
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_Bible_translations

The other major text collection often translated is the Latin Vulgate (Wycliff Bible).

Other types of translations include literal word-for-word translations (e.g. a Greek Interlinear translation) and paraphrases. A word-for-word is difficult to read because the grammar of ancient Greek and Hebrew is not the same as English. The same can be seen in translating Spanish to English. A paraphrase trys to capture the concept of the text, not a literal word-for-word.

Very few Bibles are rewrites of previous Bibles.

oh, which animal have we seen turn into which animal? Couldn't find it in your link.

Have you studied the importance 2-4% of a person's DNA actually has?

I'm not the Evil Monkey actually. He just lives in my truck and I'm trying to let the world know (If you notice, he's on the passenger side).

Here you go, the building blocks of life...

    http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE57H02I20090818

    http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/02/080204-galaxy-life.html

It is not farfetched for a comet to have struck earth with just the necessary amount of material to start life. The earth is over 4 billions years old, so even if it took life 2 billion years to get to where it is today, we have seen minor changes in appearence, traits etc. in insects today. If we expose animals or reptile to cetian influences (radiation, toxic crap), they change, they adapt.. they evolve. Natural selection will win out, that is why humans are dominant. Our brains have gotten bigger, our structure has gotten larger, and in some cases smaller, our skin has gotten lighter or darker to fit the enviornment they, we, are in.

It's chimps into humans, we are animals! :) At least some of us!

Yes, within the 2%-4% is what contains everything that makes us..us. eye color, skin color, etc.

brother, listen, everything you just mentioned is adaptation,(or mutation; toxic stuff) not evolution. You mention adapt and evolve in the same sentence. Please don't get mad, but no where did you mention one way that an animal turns into another animal. Back in the archives of this thread is a video I posted of the complex single cell somewhere. I'm out of time tonight, I'll look it up tomorrow.
