Not to get all up in your business but what denomination are you??? If you are christian then yes you came from the catholic faith at some point. Even religion is an evolutionary process Greek orthodox spawned Russian orthodox and eastern orthodox Catholicism spawned anglican and all of the protestant denominations baptist, Methodist, episcopalian etc.

Actually here's some food for thought. How did the animals survive after the flood since there were two of every kind and the predators had to eat??? Also there were no trees, grass or other plants for the herbivores because they would have been under flood water for forty days and nights and would have been destroyed.

Also how did 95% of all of the marsupials end up in only Australia???

How did three towed sloths end up across the Atlantic ocean in South America if the boat landed in the middle east???

Yes, all that I'm saying in all of my post is please read and become somewhat educated on what the experts are saying and stop reading ken Hovind and letting others tell you what to believe. You can say that god or the flying spaghetti monster or what ever created us but to deny things that are as obvious and proven as evolution is just silly.

also google dolphin legs and you can see some of the pics of a dolphin with vestigial limbs. Yes he doesn't have full set of useful legs but he's a dolphin and shouldn't have those two appendages.

I believe in Creation. However, God works on his timetable, not ours, and his methods are his own, which I can't pretend to understand.

    Caudipteryx zoui

    "caw-DIP-ter-ix ZJO-eye"

Birdlike dinosaur with feathers covering whole body
    Long, striped tail plume

The feathers on Caudipteryx are very similar to those of modern birds. The feathers have a central hollow shaft with numerous thin filaments (called barbs) extending outward, creating the recognizable shape of a feather. Yet even though Caudipteryx had feathers like modern birds, it did not fly because its arms were too short. Modern feathers evolved long before the ability to fly.

before the flood every animal was a herbivore, everything ate plants. its not till after the flood is when god allowed for meat to be eating so it probally took a while for the anilmals to start becoming carnivores. also noah to 7 pairs of the good or clean animals most likely ones that would end up being herbavores.

its a little easier for me to believe in god then we came from tiny bacterias the just appeared on rocks billions of years ago. and that the whole universe started from nothing... "the big bang" which acually takes a lot more faith to believe in than god cause it really is a bunch of non sense... but if you could explain it to me i would love to learn more about it

So where did sharks, bears, lions and Velociraptors come from??

Thanks you for your cooperation and as i've said I don't want to tell you what to believe, I just don't want you to believe in something and not know why you believe that. To believe something because you were told to and not research there methods is intellectually dishonest and lazy. I will tell you that while I PERSONALLY believe that no one can say there is or isn't a god why can it (god is a spirit and has no gender so i won't say he) not set up the rules such as evolution, emergence and other natural laws to create things? Why is it so hard to think that we're desendants from a lower life form but people have no problem with two big hand decscending from the clouds to make us out of mud( I remember we had a pic of this from my adolescent days in sunday school).

see Kyle's quote at the bottom of my post. He has studied the Bible and he has the answer to this dramatic 'movie like' scene you just concocted.
I agree and you earn the utmost respect from me Ty!! You are right that this is definately a touchy topic, and typically I don't try to 'win' the debate as much as I try to post questions and statements that just make people think and make their own decisions. Ultimately, we must all search our own soul and decide if we are comfortable with what will happen to us when we die, and also with how we choose to live our lives.
again, see Kyles post below for info on what the animals eat. The Ark's dimensions are in the Bible, figure it up and tell us if you think they could haul supplies and grow a garden and survive for 40 days/nights.

the way the animals may have dispersed across the earth, good read but a little long>>>> http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/nab/how-did-animals-spread

just to quote a passage from the link above that is appropriate to your question:

"It is not a problem for us to rationalize why certain animals do not appear in certain parts of the world. Why, for example, does Australia have such an unusual fauna, including so many marsupials? Marsupials are, of course, known elsewhere in the world. For example, opossums are found in North and South America, and fossilized marsupials have been found elsewhere. But in many places, climatic changes and other factors could lead to their extinction.
The lack of great marsupials in other continents need be no more of a problem than the lack of dinosaurs. As with many species today, they just died out—a reminder of a sin-cursed world. One proposed theory is that marsupials—because they bore their young in pouches—were able to travel farther and faster than mammals that had to stop to care for their young. They were able to establish themselves in far-flung Australia before competitors reached the continent.
Similar statements could be made about the many unusual bird species in New Zealand, on islands from which mammals were absent until the arrival of European settlers."
more than likely this is a mutation, not evolution. He is a dolphin, came from a dolphin, and will always be a dolphin.
brother, that is a post by a student of the Bible. Good job!!

first off all the animals you listed were always there but ate fruit and plants before the flood, after the flood probaly cause of a shortage of food the bigger more aggresive animals turned to meat. " and to all the beast of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground- everything that has the breath of life in it, i give every plant for food. NIV" so to me i think it is saying that everything that breaths air all ate plants or fruits before the flood so like sharks and stuff could have eaten other fish. and i wouldnt picture this world we have today as the world before the flood. it was a very different fair more fruitful world than today.

now also it rained for forty days and forty nights, noah was on the ark for a little more than a year and didnt come off till the dove brought back a leaf, so there were some plants but surely not enough and that is why some of the animals turned to meat... lions, bears, ect

Thank you, this has been a very civilized discussion on all parts and I'm glad. I, however don't see this as a debate where one team "wins" the debate but rather an informative lecture. No one has the time to know everything about religion, science, philosophy, etc. When people who have done some learning bring what they know together it enlightens us all even if we see things from different perspectives. As I stated earlier I don't care what you believe, at the end of the day you need to understand why you believe what you say and be able to rationally explain it. I think when either camp far right fundy religious and far left atheist shut down their brains to their own dogma then aren't they really the doing the same thing???

god did set up evolution... mirco evolution. that is all dogs have a common ancester. same with deer, there wasnt 2 moose, 2 elk, and two mulies on the ark there was just 2 (or 14) depending if it was a good or clean animal to noah, i would probaly think yes. so as the deer spread out they adapted to there enviroment and appetite hense the variations in deer. the THEORY of evolution of where a frog gets wings and flies and becomes a bird is where you lose me and where there really is no factual evidence that backs it. lets take the liger, science did "mutate or breed a tiger and lion, it is not fertile, cant breed. to me this seems like this would be a big step back for evolutionist.

Please tell me, How did they?

I am not mocking you and am very interested to learn all I can.

I am actually learning a lot from this discussion and do applaud everyone involved for keeping it civilized.

I believe that with the Laws of physics and nature, as with any laws, needs a law maker-God.

As for mentioning Kent Hovind, I have listened to his stuff and a lot of it makes sense to the believer but a lot of it is his own thoughts and are wrong.

The Dinosaur statements I made earlier were just a discussion point. Do not tell me that I am not qualified to be in this discussion because I made the point that Dinos and Man walked on this earth at the same time. I believe that at some point they may had because of the fossils that I have seen with Human remains in with dinos and human footprints inside of dinos.

Before the flood everything ate the nuts grains and seeds. after the flood God allowed animals and people to eat meat.

Genesis 6:19-20 And of every living thing of all flesh two of every sort shall thou bring into the ark to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of fowls after their kind and of cattle after their kind of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee to keep them alive.

^^ this says that the animals came to Noah two of every sort. I dont know how God did it but he is God and therefore isnt bound by the rules of our world.

My job like I have stated before is to spread what I know about God it is your job to determine what you want to believe and act upon it.

Can I ask this, A little off topic. When Christ was hanging on the cross, the earth fell dark for 3 hours. How did that happen?

I do not blindly follow what people tell me. When they tell me something I look into it for myself. If I believe it it is because I have looked into it and firmly believe it myself. Not because someone told me too. People tell me all the time about global warming but from earth trends it happens every few hundred years.

Yes!!! a mutation IS evolution. When an animal mutates the mutation either allows him to have an advantage over the other animals, which he then passes the mutation to his offspring, or it is of no value to him and other more evolved take over.

Good for you, now you are asking questions and that is always a good thing. I think that if god gave us a rational brain then why would he ask us to leave it at the door when we go to church, which is what a lot of religious people do. I'm sorry if I offended you with the "not being qualified ' line but mammals were in their early stages when the dinos were hear so there we definatly NO humans and dino. That was the Flintstones LOL.

To prove that dino and fred was and impossability just look at the KT boundary, there are no human fossils below it, and why???? because they didn't exist.

It's impressive to see the knowledge we have learned, science is a fascinating journey that continuously evolves. Yet what are the origins of knowledge? Have we lost sight of the forest concentrating on the trees? Remember, whichever "tree" we examine with such great intensity, never has nor will reveal it's complete history. Eventually, all thought, wisdom, knowledge, etc., leads to the conclusion of the existence of a creator.
