Damn! I hate to admit I was wrong, butt I think you've got me.

Oops! No . . . I spoke to soon. I just got a personal message direct from Jesus. It's on a golden tablet, that says it will dissolve before I can take a photo of it. Any way He says YOU are wrong and that he is not nor was he ever god.

He goes on to say it was all a big mistake . . . that at the last supper he can remember being at, he and the boys had a little too much wine and he made some statement about being able to do whatever he wanted, and that led to him doing some name dropping and he's very sorry about the whole thing but with the hangovers the next morning and all things were pretty confusing and ever'body got the wrong impression and before he could clear things up he got nailed and if he could take it back he would, but he figured we'd all figure it out and he had no idea so many people would be so dumb they'd believe that bullshit and anyway he feels pretty bad about it and would I forgive him.

I told him, 'Christ! No problem man. And no hard feelings. I'm on it.'

    So . . . well . . . there it is. OK?

    Aaaaacccctuuuaaallly........

First: Current belief of biblical scholars says that Red sea is a mistranslation. It was originally Sea of Reeds, which was most likely a march like area near the northern break of the Red Sea. So IF that actually happened (read below) they just crossed over a swamp, and no sea was parted.

Second: Current popular belief of BIBLICAL scholars (not secular, or non-believers) is that most likely the Exodus never actually happened, at least not like it is told in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Three big problems with it- 1. If taking a VERY reasonable estimate of the Hebrew slave population, plus women and children, their numbers would of been AT LEAST 2 million people. Ever take your family to the mall? See how hard that is? Try 2 million trekking along in the desert, not only fighting to survive, but supposedly conquering multiple cities while they were, you know, just putting along. 2. Egypt had multiple satellite military cities on the supposed Exodus path, so if 2 million slaves come casually walking by, they would have all died by the time they had gotten to the Promised Land. Egypt had a tight reign in those areas, so these undefended slaves would've been destroyed before they made it halfway. 3. There is NO archeological evidence of these "conquered cities" ever changing culture. That's important, because if we are back then, and another culture came through, destroyed our city, and then settled in, they would have different ways to make pottery, jewelry, currency, etc. There is ZERO evidence for these stories, in fact everything continues as we would have thought it for the Exodus' path.

So, lesson of the day, know your religion through and through. You might just be confronted by a guy that knows way more than you do about it.
My CHRISTIAN Professor knew all this and much more and still chose to believe in the Bible. I admire that. He has to have true faith. I don't. I like facts. Yet, even he knew evolution happened, and happens today.

Should scientology be added to the poll, or does it fall into one of the catagorize listed...?
