Creationism vs. Evolution

A lot of geologists would argue that it is. So much of this debate is a matter of viewpoints. Facts are facts. The way we interpret them is different, one group of people will try and make those facts fit into the theory of evolution, and one group will do the same with creationism. It's like different sets of lenses.

What if you believe in God just not the Bible stories , because I have never said " There is no God "

(Bible year = 360 days)

 

I'll even give you the great flood , could be a melting of ice sheets and rising sea levels for all I know , but you said yourself the Bible is either 100% true or it is 100% false

So do you really find it possible to fufill Noah's task of building the Ark , and circumnavigating the globe to collect all the animals ?

I believe it actually states he made it in 7 days....which does not help with the believability for you Pete I know, butlers work with the facts. It says to collect two pairs of every animal, now we have no way of knowing how many Tyler's of animals there were at that point in history, only that they all fit onto the boat. Don't think polar bear, grizzly bear, black bear, think 'Bear'. Dog. Cat. Bird. That narrows it down significantly.


To answer your question though, how much of the Bible is plausible without God? I mean sure I see what you're saying, that's hard to believe, but no harder for me than 3 people being one person and that same person being 3.

 

So if , for instance , you took a pair of local brown bears . How do we now have every other sub species of bear without them evolving from the two bears Noah took with him ?

 

Your also saying bend what was stated to make it work.

The bible addresses dinosaurs several times. Now, the term dinosaur wasn't invented until the 1800's I believe so they simply refer to them as 'behemoth creatures'
