Just install an exhaust cutout. You know the cable activated Y fitting that can redirect the exhaust. Direct it toward the most obnoxious sound possible and hide the activator. This is happening! I always wanted a reason to install an exhaust cuttout on a vehicle besides the option to be totally obnoxious when I felt like it - like when one of those super annoying honda racer wannabe's was next to me at a stoplight. Can you imagine that? screeeech ... screeeeeeeech .... scrreeeeeeeeechhhh!!!! And take off blowing a huge cloud of blue smoke from you're home-made bootlegger smoke screen device.

Right on! I've been doing it for awhile and I was like "this is so easy, but most people microwave their popcorn so I should make a write up." I'm stoked someone tried it out. Cheap easy snack too!

Can't be too alert these days. Nothing but rainwater and pure grain alcohol for me.

Now here's something... whatabout an ignition activated pump smoke screen, switched to go upon leaving the vehicle. If somebody starts it up and drives, its pumping oil into the exhaust and making a helluva show. They'd either pull over and get the fuck out or the cops would pull them over. Seems like these boys got it dialed in...

Looks like something I might get if I had a smart phone, but I got a dumb phone and try to spend most of my quality time in places with no cel. I do often wish I had a computer in my pocket to benefit from apps available.

Nope in no way shape or form affiliated with this product just reading your thread and saw a simple (well about as simple as tech gets at this point) fix to your problem, maybe. Not sure if you really need a smart phone may be able to check from computer as well, or at least a friend that has a smart phone

Gotcha, could be an extra layer of security. What if you implemented all of these workable ideas? How long would it take you to get out of the home depot parking lot?

That's fuk'd man, hope your insurance covered it. but really what is the compensation if you put a lot of work and pride into a vehicle. Can't replace all the custom touches like a cup-holder that fits a Cobra...

so... you're sayin' they didn't pay you what you were into it for. sorry man, for your loss - never had a vehicle stolen but heard the insurance might meet a lower value or no value depending what coverage you have.

I owned her for 10 years bought it with 7 mile on th odometer. she was paid off and had 89k miles on her. Insurance paid high blue book plus unused tax and license. Came to around 21k and change. Had 1k deductible. Took 15 and paid off high interest shit and put 5know down on a new 17. Nope didn't get screwed athe all. Have state Farm and full coverage. Buy any car or truck out there and own it for 10 years and see what an insurance company will give you for it when it's gone. That's one reason I buy a tacoma, they retain their value hands down over any vehicle out there.
