    Hey guys,

I'm interested in blowing more money on my Tacoma but I'm not really sure where to go from here.

For reference, I have not done anything performance related and haven't touched the inside (minus some weathertech mats). Also, this is my daily driver so I'm trying to be careful not to cross the line of practicality.

Do you think I should paint the chrome or switch the bumper out entirely?

Not sure how painting chrome goes, but I often see the color matched bumpers come up for sale for a couple hundred bucks on Craigslist, I’d just keep my eye out and see if you can find one! Then sell your chrome bumper and get your money back! Win, win, win!

I would add rear plate bumper with swing out and a bumper or a mount in the front with a winch

I'm embarrassed to say they're not real rock sliders. They came from a chinese company (hooke road) and I got them for $100.

Friend of friend kind of deal. I only mentioned the price to suggest that I wouldn't have spent much more than that because now I'm worried I'm actually going to him them and destroy my truck (the install using the factory bolts).

It looks like you actually use your truck to get out, so I'd say first get real sliders and a front skid. Those provide the most essential protection. Rear bumper isn't very necessary - more for looks at this point. Just paint the stock for now.

    Then maybe a couple lights???

You're pretty much there, imo. Looks good.

Oooohhhhh, still, those are sweet. I like the design because, they actually function as a step, without having a separate step loop hanging down to get hung up on.

No need to be embarrassed. They look good and still offer some protection. Let's face it if your using rock sliders for what they are intended for your gonna damage something on your truck.

Blow that money into savings, IRA, etc. There is nothing wrong with your truck, imo.
