I noticed that too but even though they look like that the sway bar is solid. No play at all. I did buy all new bushings and end links for that sway bar but am not currently bothering to install them because it still feels solid. Would you replace it even if it feels solid?

Yes, that one spring perch in the bottom picture needs to be flipped. Good luck. Simple fix, just be careful if doing it yourself.

top is fine, the first pic shows the spring coil opposite. the third pic shows where the coil ends and meets the top hat/rubber bushing. It's just the nature of how it goes with AM spring, no flat top. the OME are like this on mine.

Got the front fixed. Now the front is pretty level but the rear leans. The rear passenger leaf is more arched up than the driver leaf.

Will the passenger leaf settle to be flatter like the driver one is?

Did the passenger side leaf break in faster due to the previous front lean?

Were my leaves built with the wrong spring rates?

Some people say it does but in my experience, even though the front is level the rear sags to the driver's side especially when my gas tank is full, so I've got a small 1/2" spacer for the rear as well.

My gas tank is less than half full right now.

This is what I got to correct the rear lean... Screen Shot 2019-03-22 at 12.21.23 PM.jpg

It's just a small steel block, enough to help with the lean but not enough to notice any real difference in ride quality.

    Knowing me, probably not. :)

Na, L is definitely on the driver side and R is definitely on the passenger side. Part of me wonders if the spring company put the letters on backwards.

What springs do you have, stock or aftermarket? Sorry if you already mentioned it

My All Pro Expos just sag a bit more to whichever side has more weight on it, in my case a full gas tank will drop the left side a good half inch or more.

They’re Alcan springs. They’re supposed to be left/right specific to address the extra weight on the driver side.

Definitely confirm they're on the right side first but if they are and they still sag, I'd look into that spacer. Or maybe even an AAL if the sag is bad enough

Did you torque everything to spec while is was in the air or after setting it down with everything slightly snug to keep in place?

I torqued it to FSM specs while in the air. I re-tightened the U bolts on the ground after 100 miles.

I just talked to Alcan and they said I should jump in the bed and ensure the shackle moves freely. They said I may need to loosen it, flex the springs a bit, and re-tighten them.

The shackle bolts were not at all tight. They were correctly torqued really not any more than necessary to flatten the lock washers.

It seems the shackles do flex although I will need to confirm with a second set of eyes.

I ordered a couple extra shackles because I'm sick of this truck's problems and want to try anything even if it's kind of expensive. We'll see what happens. Maybe my shackles are damaged.

    This happened to me.
Idk how long ago you got them, or if the 1st gen springs have the brake cable bracket, but they started cutting them in a J shape instead of a U, so they they wouldn’t have gone on corfectky if the sides were mis-marked

I say put the tape measure down and just drive it (once you confirm the leafs are on the correct side).

If you carry a tool box, put that on the passenger side. I mounted my hi-lift on the pass. side of the bed - not that I've ever really cared that much (or noticed) the taco lean, I'll tend to put stuff on the passenger side if I can to even things out.

If you are to the point of needing an AAL on one side to counteract lean, take that crap back to Alcan and demand the correct springs.
