I know none of these names but an expo-type trip is becoming more and more appealing. :D

I worked on the IL and spent time running around on the Spanish and YP as well, what's funny is I don't remember a single locked gate but that was almost 20 years ago. I'm curious if an Idaho group would want to come down from the north through the Jarbribge or Owyhees to meet up with you guys.

My dad was telling me about a road from Chimney Creek that comes out by Midas, so got that part covered.
That road that leaves from Jackpot runs north of Gollaher mtn into Goose Creek. There is a road I see on the map, it takes off I think at Rock Spring, but it goes down Dry Gulch over Signboard pass through The Narrows right passed Crittenden Res. into Montello. Buutttt if it is true that Crittenden is all locked off, that may not be an option. That Trout Creek Ranch may be an option. Looks like we may end up in Utah if we do that. I'm not against that though.
Also have to figure out a way from the Charleston Road to the O'Niell basin road. I found a few roads, but I'm not sure what the Mary's River Ranch has locked off.

That would be cool. I know the IL in the last few years has gotten pretty nasty. All the Bull-Run mountains are locked off along with a bunch more land up there. I had a friend get stuck in the snow up on the Maggie Creek road 2 years ago and a guy from the IL was driving by, they asked him if they could get a tug out. He told them no, then told them if the truck wasn't out by the next day they didn't have to bother coming back to get it because it wouldn't be there. If my buddy is truthful about where it was, it was on a county road that borders their land, but doesn't run through it. Newmont owns the IL now, so maybe they will ease up again.

Once we get closer and a better plan I can map something out on google earth or something. Hell if we get lost who cares.

There is a road south of crittenden goes right through the spill way. I talked to the security officer of gamble and he said that they leave it unlocked during the off season of hunting season. That road will take us all the way to the state border and the highway. Also like I said in an earlier post. Anything north of crittenden is fair game. I know a road thats super techy that goes over china Jim and hooks into the same road. There's also ten mile which is even further north and hooks into the same road.
Tj, we need to get together and maybe get a more definite route planned out with a topo

Damn you northerners. A case of brew and a map for planning actually sounds like a great time.
