Crossbars/Racks on Campershell or Bedcover? Which is better for tent setup?

    I see some people have tents on their camper shells and some on their bed covers. Curious to know what you guys think is better for fold out tent camping or even just which is better in general. Can’t decide on the two. -Thanks

    Just me $0.02, most people use a dedicated bed rack system that is securely bolted and mounted to the bed. I’ve seen people mount tents on camper shells but only after it was structurally reinforced from the inside. From what I’ve seen, you would have to put braces on the inside and run bots through the top to secure the tent. Again, my $0.02 and your mileage may vary.
