I havent been doing crossfit, my schedule only allows for like maybe 2 days a week, and I just cant justify that kind of money for only 2 days. I am going to start doing my own thing though, my apartment has some dumbells, so I was thinking of buying/building a box and trying to use just those things lol.[/QUOTE]

Maybe you should try something called "A&S short card". I do it when Im low on time or want to sweat a little...lol. All you need is a pullup bar. It takes 30 min. When your time starts dropping to about 22 min...increase your reps by 5 in the appropriate exercises. Give it a try...if not, no biggie. Just trying to help and give you some new ideas. G/L:D

I disagree ;) Competitive wise I think MBS and verve have more top contenders.
Depends on what you want to my buddy owns Surge and its a smaller gym where every one knows everyone and brandon just took 8th in the SE. Depends on what you are looking for.

Yeah no problem man....they got some pull up bars at walmart for a decent price if not, dont worry about the pull ups(you got dumbells so maybe sub for pike press/military press)just a thought. If you got any questions on some of the exercises, dont hesitate bud.

I disagree with you sir. MBS and verve have only 1 top contender. Where as FRCF has an entire team plus an individual athlete as top contenders. Not to say they aren't good gyms. But from a coaching perspective I'd say we have more experience at FRCF. Plus everyone at FRCF knows everyone. But I'm biased.

Well kind of dissapointed with GI Jane. Total time was 14:55 was really hoping for sub 10. Today was 10 min of kettlebell long arm cycle. Gnar. Time for some mellow endurance paced stuff now.

think its a good base, but might be more effective and difficult if you made it 30 double unders. Makes people have to work, and those that can fly through them get more AMRAP. If not the 30sec is kind of like a "break" so to speak

And on that note, although I havent been at a crossfit gym, I have been doing some wod's on my own at my local gym. The only common movement I can't do is wall balls and ring dips.

I've been doing other workouts in between, mostly which consist of a lot of swimming and enduro stuff, but heres the most recent xfit workouts that I've done.

    Saturday:
I enjoyed this one. Felt a bit nausious afterwards [IMG]

    2000m Row
    100 Pushups
    ---------------------
    12:32

    Monday:

Man did I ever feel run down from Christmas! Felt like garbage when I woke up and continued throughout the day. I took an afternoon nap and made myself go to the gym once i woke up. I felt ok when I was there, but now I'm feeling it again this morning. Anyway, Monday I did the following. I just made this up based on how I felt

    5x7 Front Squat: 145, 165, 175, 185, 190

120m Overhead Walking Lunges (35lb plate)

    Then moved to:
    Box Jumps 5-10-15-20-25
    Double Unders: 25-20-15-10-5

I started crossfit yesterday. My legs are killing me today! I also found out how much it costs...$100 a month for 3 times a week

Im gonna finish this month at the CF gym and probably take what ive learned and join a normal gym ($10 a month)
