There goes the ignorance. Who said I wasn't in great shape. Obviously if I am only 178 and can bench more than 130 pounds more than my weight shows I'm in great shape. I work hard bro, and I'm the fastest one on my baseball team. I Am more than proficient For the navy seal training recommendations in pushups, pullups, situps and the mile and a half.

Well good for you. But FYI crossfit incorporates power lifting, so you will be able to hit those marks if you want so there goes your ignorance. But this thread isnt about power lifting, it is about crossfit.

So back to crossfit...how often do you guys tell people about crossfit? I promote it all the time to anyone that will listen. I just convinced the security guard that I work with to join me for a workout.

Sorry about how I posted, just kinda sick of whats been going on lately with people coming into a thread bashing it. As far as telling people about it, whenever anyone asks what gym I go to or starts talking about excercising. Good for you, I have got a bunch interested but none have really followed through. My mom is gonna try it next week lol

No worries, I'm quite over the thread bashing as well.
Yeah I don't know if this guy will actually show either, but we'll see.
That's awesome that you have got your mom to go. That should be fun.
Is your gym closed on sunday or is there a certain day they close for a rest day?

What I did was just go down there and talk to them. You will have to go through a fundementals class where you have to learn all of the lifts and what not. Here is the link to the one in Frisco. http://friscocrossfit.com/

Our rest day is sunday as well. Saturday there are a few WODs and one o-lift and a skills class. We don't have a stretching class, is that like yoga?

Do what stillfly said. It will kick your butt and have you in shape in no time. You'll love it and it will be as intense as you want it to be. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.

I went today, what it was was just doing some random stretches to loosen up what we hammered this week. Rolling around on a tennis ball, stretching out the back. Helped a lot, I had places sore that I didnt even know was sore.

I am not a fan of the women of crossfit. They are mean bitches. My goal with them is to just not be last. Really that's my hope every day i go.

My question, how many people have puked at class? :D

Learn to enjoy the soreness because it never ends.

I haven't puked yet but have been damn close a few times. If you puke at my gym because of the workout they give you a shirt.

I hate the women too. I havent puked, been very very very close. I almost did today. We had a couple puke today. We usually get a couple a week. We just say that you have met pukie if you puke and it gets documented. Its kind of a bad ass status for pushing yourself.

I'm proud to say I have not hit the puke bucket yet! :) I've had a few close calls when I first started, but I've changed my Diet and eating habits that I no longer get nauseous. It's usually when you eat like shit that you end up puking...

We have 2 buckets full of signatures, and it's usually noobs LOL!!!
