last night was a good night for me at the box. i finally got my form correct on overhead squats and was able to do them for the first time without falling forward of dislocating my arms. i was also able to get my kipping rhythm down and do multiple pull ups without having to hang and re-adjust

last nights wod was a hero wod "Josh"
the only bad thing is i tore the hell out of my hand on the last set of pullups but i got them all.

^ I bruised my ribs last week, so pull ups and as I found out this morning, overhead squats; are out for another week or so.

Luckily it hasn't interferred with my running, as I ran a 25K trail race last weekend, and have a 15K this Sat.

    Today's WOD.
Started out before with running with one of our coaches. He wanted me to pace him. So we did 3 800m runs with 3 minutes rest between. My times were 2:45, 2:59, and 2:53.
    Strength:
Find a 3 rep max touch and go power clean. Finished at 215. Pretty excited for that was still super tired from the run.
    WOD:
    4 rounds
    25 hand release push ups
    25 KB swings @ 53lb
    My time was 10:50.
That WOD was rough it absolutely kills your forearms. Plus I hate pushups. I have long arms so I have to do so much more work. But great WOD though.

last nights WOD sucked. no one and i mean no one at our box finished it RX.

so all you hard core guys i challenge you to try this one and see how you do.

150 wall ball shots 12 minute max
    emom 6 hspu

thats right you start with wall balls but then every minute on the minute you do 6 handstand push ups then back to wall balls.

there are some crazy fit guys at our box and they did not even come close.

i tried it but i scaled to 3 hspu's instead of the 6 and in 12 minutes i got 115 wall balls and my 3 hspus

good luck if you try it

it sounds really girly but it will save your hands. I tore my calluses twice before I started using one. Now five months later haven't had a tear or a blood blister since even after doing max effort clapping pull-ups and toes to bar. Good luck hope this helps

    Good WOD tonight for us.
Against a 12 minute clock you had to row 2000m then in the remaining time you would do as many lateral burpees over a 6" hurdle as you can. I finished with a 7:22 on the row then banged out 46 burpees after. I was pretty stoked with that. After 4 of 6 classes it was the fastest row and the most burpees. I hate burpees, they're no fun when you're tall and lanky. But Ill take it for sure

I'm getting ready to start doing crossfit here in the next couple of days. I went to some of the fundamental classes at the "box" I'm going to. I can't wait to start the regular classes. Anyone got some tips or advice for me?
