Nice work on the deadlift. Mine needs some work to get near that number.

The thing that helps, well almost kills me, is when we do these kind of lifts I work with guys that are way stronger, so they are constantly pushing me. It helps, but it is also very painful

Yeah same here...I need to keep working on my technique so I don't hurt myself. I know I have the raw strength but have proper technique is more important to me then numbers. I wanna be able to dead lift 300lbs 50 times in a row. But those numbers of yours are awesome dude!!!

Should have beent here yesterday, we did 1-10-1-20-1-30 of deadlifts. Every 1 was our max. My back is destroyed. I ended my 30 with 185. Coulda gone a little higher, but the last few were very tough.

We just started doing more olympic lifting in cross fit as well. My legs and back are getting hammered!

All of the sudden we are gettign slammed with ring dips and that soirt of thing also.

Helping with the core strength, found I need more recoup time with this stuff, joints and back starting to ache and the regular muscle soreness.

Used to just be the muscle soreness. Yall experienceing the same thing, maybe its growing pains ...i dunno:D

Its kinda nice to do some Oly Lifts to help break up the WODs. Todays was 1-10-1-20-1-30 of bench. First time I have ever done bench at crossfit, felt weird. haha

It's usually muscle soreness for me and some wrist pain, but that is just my weak wrist. But after yesterdays max overhead squat my elbow is giving me some pain today...along with the usual muscle soreness.

sure, when I hit 40 and can't move because i've pushed myself too hard. but at least i'll have a decent looking body.

Not sure what a sumo deadlift is, all I have done is a dead lift and a sumo dead lift high pull.

Ya that is definatley one way to look at it. We have this one chick who is in her 40's I believe and is just cut. Its freaking awesome.

I imagine I'll slow down as I get older. We have a 50 yr old guy that comes and he is rather ripped too. He destroys me in the WODs.

No idea what sumo deadlift is either

Think of the Sumo deadlift Highpull but without the High Pull...we do all the olympic style lifts at our Crossfit, we actually have a really great blend of WODS, Olympic Lift Exercise, and Gymnastic stuff...we are pretty Diverse. One thing we have never done is Bench Press, to be honest bench pressing just seems like whatever to me! LOL...I'd rather do ring dips, Pushups, to workout my chest but that is just me :)

I've cut down my Crossfit Training to 4 Days a week! I got to CF Monday through Thursday rest on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday just because we generally go wheeling on the weekends. If we don't wheel I usually just rest Friday, Saturday, and I go hiking on Sundays or I do a mini WOD. :) But I've gotten use to the soreness, pretty much if I don't feel sore I know I didn't work out hard enough so I welcome the soreness! LOL!!!

We have a good mix of stuff here too. With WODs, olympic lift and gymnastic stuff. No bench press here either. No clue what my max on that would be anymore.

I took 2 weeks off around christmas and when i got back from the vacation, I worked incredibly hard, probably too hard. I don't exactly give myself the rest needed. I just have a hard time easing into it or taking it easy there. I'm too competitive to relax. My body would thank me for the time off though. I guess my age is starting to catch up with me and I'm not even 30 yet. WTF!

I think most all of crossfit is becoming very diverse with the lifts. The trainers said we havent done bench so why not try it. I try to only rest on Sat Sun. I need to start running a hell of a lot more.

We actually have a platoon of Reserve Marines who are going to be deployed soon and they are prepping physically by doing Crossfit. They have been doing our morning class for the past 3 weeks and a lot of the guys are loving it! It' back to grind for me this week! :) I'm back on the rower but I'm taking it a little easier gonna start the workouts with 2000m instead of the 5000m I was doing...once I get use to my new technique and I feel comfortable I will up the meters. We actually had a good WOD today.

    30 Pushups
15 Left Arm KB Swings (44lbs)
15 Right Arm KB Swings (44lbs)
    30 26" Box Jumps

    5 Rounds...

My arms were so shot by the end of this....:(

Ya, I have heard a lot about military implementing crossfit. The guys seem to love it.

Make sure you dont hurt yourself. We did an ass kicking WOD last week and I was completely shot and one of the guys thats hurt wanted me to do a 5k row...... We made it 1k  Rowing is an ass kicker. I dont know how you do it. Much props to you.

Today we did the Filthy Fifty
    50-Box jumps
    50-Jumping pull ups
    50-35lb kettlebell swings
    50-Lunges
    50-Knee to elbows
    50-Push press (Only the bar)
    50-Back extensions
    50-20lb wall ball
    50-Burpees
    50-Double unders

Fairly simple workout today. 10 minutes of as many front squats and pull ups as you can do. Minimum of at least 20 each. Managed 93 reps total.

Wasn't really tired like usual at the end but had some good muscle fatigue.

Did a similar workout to fight gone bad today. Was not pleasant at all.
