Crossover Mounting Locations?

Hey guys, i'm trying to decide where to mount my crossovers for my components in a reg cab. There is a plate on the door that can be taken off and I could mount them there but I'm wondering about vibration/moisture. I thought about mounting them on the outside of the door panel but I dunno if I want to drill holes in my door panels. Anyone have any experience doing it either way and or pics? Thanks

 

I just did a google search on this subject and still did not get a decisive answer. Seems like there are equal beliefs on both sideds (do or do not). I did decide if I go with the door mount to mount on the inside of the vapor barrier.

i mounted mine on the metal plate on the door........they fit into the doors armrest perfectly,so far no issues but they have only been there a cpl weeks now

 

i put mine in the doors. not a great idea if you have adjustable crossovers and what to adjust them. i used a zip tie to hold it in place.
