    Hi All,

I'm having an issue with cruise control currently (2018 TRD OR). The background is that I bent a spindle wheeling earlier this year, got the Christmas tree of lights due to alignment being super off on that wheel. Replaced the spindle (got gussets), got alignment, cleared codes and reset yaw pitch etc via tech stream, and cruise control worked fine shortly after the reset for a very short time ( 10 minutes or so) but soon after will not engage. No lights, not seeing any new codes, it just won't engage. Not even the icon indicating cruise will pop up when trying to initiate. I disconnected the battery for a bit and upon reconnecting, cruise control again worked just fine (radar was seeing cars in front and appropriately accelerating or braking) for a brief amount of time, but then goes away and will not engage. I am at a loss and would greatly appreciate any ideas on what to do here.

Same thing on my 2021. Cruise control hasn’t worked since new. Truck doesn’t make enough power for cruise anyways and all that shifting back and forth is a joke.

That’s unfortunate. I really liked having it and used it frequently. I drive long distances a fair amount, (have a 1,000 mike drive coming up for Overland Expo in CO next week) and radar cruise control is money. Even with my manual trans, i love it. Hence me desperately trying to figure this out before next week.

Does your taco have the sensor behind the grille? Maybe TSS sensor needs to be reset or realigned? No mention of a dash light or error?

@awwwbugman The sensor likely got knocked out of calibration. Will regular cruise(hold cruise button for 1.5secs or longer)still work?

I love the adaptive cruise just find a semi to cruise behind and enjoy great mpgs. You can use it in S and just limit the trans to 5th or 4th probably press the ECT PWR button and get a similar effect.
