My cruise doesn't work although the light on the dash does go on. If I replace the brake switch, will this make it work (Just thinking easy quick, first things to rule out) Cant seem to find a fuse for it. Is there a fuse?
I LOVE using cruise control and this is frustrating.

very common issue and supposedly related to spiral cable, i believe if you search hard enough you can actually find a recall/free toyota replacement doc on here to get yours taken care of. I have this issue too and sometimes it works, sometimes the light will turn on and it wont work etc.. i've read trailer hitch wiring damage can also cause weird CC issues.

Here is the diagram for cruise control:
    https://www.customtacos.com/tech.ol...toyewd/06toypdf/ewd/2006/tacoma/h/em01d19.pdf

These are what causes the system to automatically cancel or not set at all.

    Auto Cancel Function
If any of the following conditions is encountered, the cruise control is automatically cancelled.
∗The stop lamp SW wiring is faulty or short–circuited.
∗The vehicle speed signal is faulty.
    ∗The electronically controlled throttle malfunctions.
∗The actual vehicle speed becomes –16 km/h slower than the set speed.
∗The actual vehicle speed becomes slower than the minimum speed limit. ( minimum speed for cruise is 25 MPH or 40 KPH ).
