Why doesn't cruise control work at low speeds? Like, 10-15 MPH. I was cruising down a long country road, staying at 10 mph because of rocks and deer lookout.

I tried to set cruise control and it wouldn't work.

    How come?

Cause that's how the cruise control was programmed? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think 25mph is the minimum you can be going to engage cruise control. Not sure why but every Toyota I've owned has been like that

They make you pay more for it these days, it's called crawl control.

Would it not work because the RPM is to low??? Maybe pull the shifter to first and see if that might work? Not enough vacuum?

No it's intentional, it's not a problem with the truck. I remember reading it in my manual.

In all seriousness, it's probably due to the fact that being low speeds means you're in low gear and a cruise control at that low of a gear would be very erratic, especially in first. I.E. first and second gear
